Sid Hargro (he/him) is Principal of HarLin Strategies, where he offers fractional executive leadership for strategic growth and impact and executive coaching. Rooted in the legacy of his parents, who were sharecropper kids, and his ancestors, Sid’s journey reflects a deep belief that nothing is impossible when vision, courage, and community align.
A global strategic advisor, Sid works at the intersection of culture, technology, belonging, and experimentation. He uses human-centered AI to amplify the genius of leaders and to craft compelling, creative, photorealistic stories that expand imagination and possibility. With more than 20 years of experience, Sid has led social enterprises, advised high-net-worth families, nurtured community-led funds, and facilitated funder cohorts, all to build a future grounded in justice and belonging.
Sid is the former Executive Director of The LeadersTrust. At this pandemic-era spin-off social enterprise, he championed long-term, generational impact through investment in movement and social justice leaders and organizations. In partnership with regional and national funding partners, The LeadersTrust provided deep capacity building, accompaniment, and creative capital to strengthen the well-being and effectiveness of leaders on the frontlines of social change.
An educator for more than a decade, Sid has taught Equity-Informed Social Impact Measurement at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice and Radically Re-imagined Leadership, Governance, and Impact in London in partnership with Ten Years Time, Inc. He previously served as President of Philanthropy Network Greater Philadelphia, where he helped catalyze a regional shift toward intersectional racial equity across philanthropic strategy and operations and expanded funder participation in impact investing.
Earlier in his career, Sid was the founding Executive Director of the Community Foundation of South Jersey, a Ford Foundation-seeded startup that grew from $400,000 to more than $21 million in assets in seven years, establishing participatory, community-led grantmaking throughout Southern New Jersey.
Sid currently serves as Chair of World Education Services (U.S. and Canada) and Chair of Faith in Public Life. He holds graduate degrees in engineering and theology and executive training in Mindful Leadership Coaching.
