amalia deloney is a speculative designer and civic futurist whose work weaves design, history, and imagination into frameworks that center more-than-human agency alongside displaced and marginalized communities. Guatemalan-born, she works at the neighborhood scale with communities and ecologies left out of the deciding — designing speculative governance experiences that let different futures be practiced before they exist in law or institution.

amalia’s career spans law, policy, and philanthropy in service of media justice and digital equity. Since 2014, she has been Founder & Principal of Point A Studio, her regenerative futures practice, where projects like Listening with the Land and No One Knows Me Better Than the Water.

amalia holds a J.D. with a concentration in Social Justice, and a B.A. in Urban Studies & History College. She is currently completing her MA in Design for Social Innovation. She is a 2026 Belonging Innovation Lab Narrative Fellow and recently completed a two-year fellowship with the Association of Professional Futurists.
